How to navigate our site

All navigation links appear in the panels to the left of the main window.

• The links are grouped under the appropriate sections of the site and can be reached from any page.

• The main section links always have a maroon background with white legends. The section you are currently viewing which will have a black background with a red legend.

• When you move to sections which contains sub-sections, new links will appear that have a white background with maroon legends.

• As you pass your mouse over a navigation link, the cursor will change to a pointer. On sub-section links, the legend will change from maroon to dark green. Click the link you require to go to a section or a sub-section.

• Long pages have a "TOP OF PAGE" link at the bottom of the page - this will take you back to the top of the same page. These pages also have a horizontal navigation bar at the bottom with links to the main pages.

• Bold underlined maroon text anywhere in the main window will take you directly to the relevant page when clicked.

• Clicking the email links on our Contact page will automatically open a blank message addressed to the correct department.

We have introduced a site map which lists all the website's contents so that you can easily find the page you need.

Secure online transactions

For your security and ours, all pages that handle online transactions are heavily encrypted to prevent fraud. Unless your browser supports Javascript (most do) you will not be able to view these pages or make any transactions.

The transactions themselves are conducted through the secure servers of PayPal, a worldwide payment processing facility. When you click one of the "Buy Now" buttons you will be diverted to a secure page on the PayPal website where you will conduct your transaction. If you already have a PayPal membership number you will merely enter your card details.

It is important that you understand we do not see any of the credit or debit card information you provide to PayPal. We only know your name, your email address and your delivery address if you have ordered a paperback book.

Once you have completed your transaction, you will be redirected to this website. If you have ordered an eBook, you will be able to download it immediately; if you have ordered a paperback, it will be mailed to you within 48 hours. If there are any reasons why we cannot meet this deadline, we will contact you immediately by email.

Although our payment processing methods are perfectly safe and secure, you may still be hesitant about giving out your credit card details online. We fully understand and appreciate any concerns you may have. We are perfectly happy to accept a cheque or a BACS payment. This will obviously take longer to process but please email us with details about the book you want to purchase and we will arrange for you to use one of the alternate payment methods. Note: Email links can be found on our Contact page.

Warning: Once you have conducted a transaction through PayPal, they will never email you asking you to confirm any confidential details or your personal password. If you receive such an email purporting to be from PayPal, DO NOT give any of the details requested. Please let us know immediately if this happens to you then we can notify PayPal who will attempt to track down the culprits. Please see our News page for further details.

Site information

This site was developed using FrontPage 2002. Some features require the presence of various controls on your computer, such as JavaScript and may not work properly if the controls are not installed.

Browser information

The site is optimised for Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 used on a computer with a display resolution of 1024 x 768. All pages are scaled to fit the available window space so visitors using 800 x 600 resolution should still be able to view the contents.

Tip: If you need to scroll your display from side to side, close the favourites window to give more space to the main window.

Visitors using a Netscape browser will not see the marquee banners that are used on most main pages.
